Haneda Excel Hotel is a 7-story one-of-a-kind hotel directly connected to Haneda Airport Terminal 2. With easy access to the automated airline check-in counters in the hotel lobby, guests here, feel relaxed in the Scandinavian- style interior. Offering its guests a choice from among 387 rooms across seven floors, it provides splendid views of the airport and the Tokyo Bay area.
Furnished in warm wood, the Flyers Restaurant is located on the 2nd floor, close to the departure terminal. In 2007, it created a Premier Flyers Room around the luxurious concept of first-class which included actual first-class seating, and its rooms faced Haneda Airports runaway, achieving acclaim from plane spotters and future pilots. One-upping itself, it has built a flight simulator into one of its rooms, allowing guests to rent it out for 90-minute sessions. This suite is greatly called the Superior Cockpit Room wherein, the simulator captures the experience of a Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The suit allows a user to experience the maneuvering of an airplane under the guidance of an instructor.
The Hotel has offered 2 plans for operating the flight simulator. Plan 1 is piloting the sim from Haneda airport without actually staying at the hotel. While Plan 2, offers you the whole room to yourself but with the instructor that you pilot, and savor the day and the nighttime scenery flowing by as you take off and land from Haneda to the Itami Airport in Osaka. The experience is of maneuvering by tilting the landscape through a control stick. A magical and rather a memorable one indeed.
